MediBuddy developing IoT devices with Japan's ELECOM

Virtual care company MediBuddy has started collaborating with Japanese electronics maker ELECOM to develop health IoT devices.

In a media release, MediBuddy said it will develop products for daily health management and leverage the collected health and medical data to generate personalised health insights and preventive care programmes.

"In this initiative, we plan to provide a system for seamlessly managing users’ health data, utilising our IoT technology, including Wi-Fi-enabled and Bluetooth-equipped weight and body composition scales," added Dr Kota Hada, CEO of ELECOM's Healthcare division.

The health data will also be integrated into MediBuddy's mobile application.

AI-driven post-transplant care launched

Fitness technology company GOQii has partnered with diagnostics firm Acrannolife Genomics to launch a new AI-enabled post-organ transplant care programme.

The programme called GrafCare leverages AI, genomics data, and personalised health tracking. It features Acrannolife's AI-driven, non-invasive blood test for detecting early signs of organ rejection or infection. It also utilises GOQii's wearable continuous vital monitoring device and analytics platform to detect and alert for abnormalities.

GrafCare also provides financial support through discounts, loans, and free diagnostic tests, as well as offers preventive care strategies and access to specialists for personalised recovery plans.

Meanwhile, GOQii mentioned planning to expand the programme to Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
